Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Multiple guests reported smells (chlorine/mold), dusty fixtures and dated/soiled bedding; overall cleanliness is below expectations and some rooms showed signs of damp or water damage.

Service

Staff repeatedly described as very friendly, helpful and professional (several thanks to reception/Davide); service is a strong positive in the reviews.

Location

Consistently praised as perfect/central — steps from St. Mark's/Rialto and major attractions; location is the main advantage cited by many guests.

Room Quality

Rooms described as run-down, dated and in need of renovation (old blankets, basic bedding, bathrooms requiring updates), though some guests liked spacious Venetian-style rooms and bathtubs.

Amenities

Limited specific mentions — breakfast and bathtub noted positively, but occasional issues such as leaking air conditioning and maintenance problems; treated as standard for this hotel tier.

Value for Money

At least one review explicitly called out a poor price/quality balance; given the dated condition of parts of the hotel, value is seen as below excellent.

Historic Venetian Baroque Interiors

Hotel Ca' Alvise offers a unique stay in a historic building adorned with Venetian Baroque interiors. The rich fabrics and warm colors create a luxurious atmosphere in every room. Guests can enjoy modern amenities such as air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and complimentary tea facilities. Some rooms even feature a cozy seating area for added comfort.

International Breakfast and Italian Cuisine

Start your day with a delicious international breakfast at Ca' Alvise Hotel before exploring the nearby attractions. For lunch or dinner, indulge in classic Italian dishes and local specialties at the restaurant next door. The culinary experience at the hotel ensures a taste of authentic Venetian flavors.
